This route starts in Weesp at the railway station, and leads along the banks of the Vecht, Angstel and Gein with its characteristic open polder landscape. You will cycle predominantly through the agricultural landscape: full of meadows with grazing cows, dykes with pollard willows and orchards with fruit trees. Along the way you are taken through small historic towns, such as Nigtevecht, Vreeland and Abcoude.
De Vriendschap, Weesp
Windmill De Vriendschap is a flour mill that is still in use. The mill grinds flour for the bakers of Weesp and for the shop in the mill. You will find everything you need for baking bread here. The shop and the mill can be visited on Saturdays.

De Ruiter, Vreeland
De Ruiter windmill is a flour mill located along the Vecht in the picturesque town of Vreeland. Today this mill is a socalled ‘stage mill’, operable from a heightend balcony above the ground. Flour is sold at the mill and every Saturday it is open for visitors.
